Tomato - Cottage Cheese Lasagna

Lasagna is healthy world famous Italian food what consists of meat, cheese, vegetables, layers of pasta and pasta sauce. Its recipes spread all over the world and it became one of the most popular and enjoyable meal in America.

My friend made this delicious lasagna. Now this recipe is traveled into my cookbook too. Actually this recipe has traveled into lots and lots of cookbooks. We use homemade tomato conserves and we use the same amount of it as we use crushed tomatoes. But you can use all kind of conserves.

This recipe if for 6 portions.

Ingredients you'll need:
16 sheets of lasagna
Ingredients you'll need for tomato sauce:
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of chopped garlic
2 tablespoons of olive oil
salt
sugar
black pepper
400 g of crushed tomatoes

Ingredients you'll need for cottage cheese sauce:
600 g of cottage cheese
100 g of grated cheese
salt
chopped dill, parsley or other herbs.

Ingredients you'll need on top:
100 g of grated cheese

First chop the onion and garlic, then cook them in oil until soft. Add tomato conserves and let the sauce to boil. Lower the heat, spice it with salt, pepper and sugar and stew for about 15-20 minutes unclosed. For the cottage cheese sauce, stir the grated cheese and cottage cheese, spice with salt and herbs. Butter the baking dish and pour tomato sauce to the bottom of the baking dish, cover it with 4 sheets of lasagna. Cover the lasagna sheets with the cottage cheese sauce. Repeat the layers until you are out of components. For last add tomato sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese. The cheese can be regular, or if you want you can use Parmesan cheese. Cook in oven at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes until golden.

Taco Tortilla Chip Dip Recipe

1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese
12 oz. container cottage cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 bag shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup chopped tomatoes

In a large mixing bowl combine together the cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and the packet of taco seasoning mix with an electric mixer until well blended and creamy. Spread the mixture onto a large dinner plat or round platter. Sprinkle the shredded lettuce on top and then spread a layer of the tomatoes on top of the lettuce. Finish up by sprinkling the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving with Tortilla chips.
